Budge PR is celebrating after scooping the award for Best Corporate and Financial Campaign at the Scottish IPR PRide Awards 2004/5.
Budge PR won the award for its work to build the profile of Glasgow's International Financial Services District (IFSD), a £600 million project, creating a pre-equipped business area for financial firms seeking a new UK location for their operations.
Key stages of the work programme involved the development of a media resource kit, a massive media relations campaign and a formal press conference at the London Stock Exchange.
Substantial media coverage was achieved at a local, national and international level. The London launch for example was covered by BBC Breakfast News, BBC News 24 and BBC Radio 5, the FT, Daily Mirror, as well as a virtual clean sweep of Scottish news media.
The number of enquiries from companies looking to invest or expand in the IFSD risen significantly compared to the previous year.

Last year, at the 2003 Scottish PR Awards, Budge PR was a winner in the Best Consumer Campaign and Best Business to Business Campaign categories and, at the inaugural Scottish PR Awards 2002, the company won the award for Best Community Campaign.
