Budge PR won the award for its crisis management work when Aulds the Bakers’ factory in Inchinnan was completely destroyed by fire in September 2005.
Key stages of the work programme involved reassuring employees on job security and trade customers on continuity of supply and communication to high street customers that Aulds’ chain of retail shops remained open as normal. Substantial media coverage was generated at a local, national and trade level.
The judging process was rigorous with a national panel of industry experts assessing the 1,292 entries received this year.
CIPR Scotland Chair Tom Fox, said: "The PRide Awards are about raising professional standards by identifying, recognising and rewarding the first-rate work going on in the PR industry outside of London and the contribution this makes to business and society. The judging process is rigorous and to win is a tremendous achievement."
Judges stated that “the crisis management work undertaken by Budge PR was an extremely cost-effective and fast-reacting piece of issues management. High quality response was evident. Comprehensive consideration of audiences, with good approach to media and segmentation, resulting in extremely positive results for the business and its employees.”
