Budge PR is celebrating after scooping a Gold award for Best Corporate and Financial Campaign for the second year running at the CIPR Scotland PRide Awards 2005/6.
Budge PR won this year’s award for its work on launching Scottish Friendly’s Child Trust Fund to target audiences including the media, parents, prospective parents and other influencers.
Key stages of the work programme involved an intensive media relations campaign, sponsorship, exhibitions and production of a brochure. Substantial media coverage was generated at a local and national level.
Budge PR also won a Silver award for work undertaken on behalf of Scottish Grass Machinery in the Best Business to Business Campaign.
David Budge, managing director, Budge PR said, “While these two projects were very different in nature, working on both was a challenging, enjoyable and very rewarding experience. Winning these awards is the icing on the cake and it is particularly pleasing as it is the fourth year in a row that Budge PR has won at the Scottish PR Awards.”
Colin Farrington, CIPR Director General and Chairman of the Judges, said: "The PRide Awards are about raising professional standards by identifying, recognising and rewarding the first-rate work going on in the PR industry outside of London. They are also about advancing the profession by clearly demonstrating just what PR can achieve at its best, as a strategic management function that manages relationships and reputation.
"The PRide Awards judging process is rigorous and to win is a tremendous achievement. Budge PR is a worthy winner."
Last year, at the Scottish IPR PRide Awards 2004/5, Budge PR won the award for Best Corporate and Financial Campaign and at the 2003 Scottish PR Awards, Budge PR was a winner in the Best Consumer Campaign and Best Business to Business Campaign categories. At the inaugural Scottish PR Awards in 2002, the company won the award for Best Community Campaign.
